| General description | Sigma Rapid Staining Kits are developed for use with high affinity antibodies. The methodology used is based on the Avidin/Biotin detection system, using the uniquely modified avidin reagent, ExtrAvidin®-Peroxidase. The kits are designed as research tools for the identification of antigens in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Labeling is complete in 20 minutes or less. High affinity antibodies must be used with this methodology. Each Rapid Staining Kit contains reagents for ~50 slides and consists of ready-to-use biotinylated secondary antibody, ExtrAvidin®-Peroxidase reagent, substrate buffer, hydrogen peroxide, the chromogen 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC) and easy-to-follow instructions. |
